John A. Hall, Jr.
Senior Pastor, Rehoboth International Ministries
Whether behind the pulpit or in the community, Pastor John Hall brings a dynamic energy and passion for transforming lives through a ministry of humbleness and obedience. Pastor Hall’s intentional practice is to live each day saved by God’s grace, sanctified by God’s love, and kept by God’s spirit.
Pastor John Hall accepted his call to the ministry at 14 years of age. He preached his first sermon in 1988 at the Church of God of Baldwin, where he served the church in various capacities. Just four years later, in 1992, he was then elevated to an ordained elder under Bishop Gerald Williams. After joining Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ in 1999, he continued to serve the local, district, and national church in ministry under Bishop J. Drew Sheard.
It is his ministry of help and assistance to others which led him into his current profession with the city of Detroit since 1998. Likewise, his zeal for souls, and reaching those that are lost at any cost, led him to become a longstanding volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Michigan and Teen Ranch Canada.
Upon answering God’s call, and after extensive prayer, Pastor Hall founded Rehoboth International Ministries in February 2014 in Macomb County, Michigan. The mission of this church is to expand beyond racial and denominational boundaries to extend the invitation of salvation to the world while reaching beyond its walls to serve the needs of the community.
Known for fervent prayers and his joyful gentle servant’s posture, Pastor Hall is a giant of a man with a heart just as large. Thus, he meets no stranger and embraces everyone with the love of Jesus Christ. His daily prayer is to positively contribute to the betterment of mankind while being a living epistle read of all men.
Pastor Hall is a lifelong native of Detroit, Michigan. He and his wife Shelia have two sons, John Alvin Hall, III and Jaylen Ameer Hall.
